Living with Lundehunds means engaging in daily exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s forest hikes, neighborhood walks, agility training, or a fun day at the dog beach, our Lundehunds thrive on activity and play.
Lundehunds, affectionately known as ‘Lundies,’ are intelligent and occasionally stubborn, like when they stop mid-walk, which we call “putting on the puffin brakes." Lundies generally get along well with other dogs but may be aloof with unfamiliar people.
Effective Lundehund training requires patience, calmness, and praise. This approach fosters a strong bond, resulting in a loving, playful, and entertaining companion.
Maintaining Lundehund health involves addressing potential digestive concerns. A high-quality, low-fat, low-protein diet is essential, along with biannual blood work to monitor protein levels.
